The College Recruiting Lead is responsible for managing and executing the college recruiting process and intern program for corporate functions. The incumbent will assist in implementing leading edge college and university relations outreach efforts which impact faculty, staff, students, and the engagement of Thrivent leaders, alumni and community leaders as deemed appropriate in recruitment and/or related relationship management efforts. In addition, this position will maintain and deliver intern programming designed to create meaningful experiences to cultivate professional development of students and provide training and process resources for hiring managers, mentors, and program sponsors. This role acts as the SME for college recruiting, university relations, and intern program best practices. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Build relationships with institutions and students to develop a pipeline of vital, diverse, and early career talent. Develop brand recognition at target schools through strategic partnerships and recruitment marketing efforts. Establish and execute intern event programming to develop soft skills, leadership, and volunteerism. Create meaningful onboarding and social engagement experiences for interns designed to position Thrivent as an employer of choice. Provide training and program resources for hiring managers and set leader expectations & protocols for intern experience, projects, and performance evaluation. Consult and advise hiring managers on sourcing strategies, job and profile requirements, candidate pools, screening process, and job offer. Develop tools and resources for managers to support effective and inclusive recruiting and selection practices. Manage full life cycle recruiting, including job posting, phone screening, job interviews, selection, and offers for intern job openings. Manage the day-to-day relationship with external service vendors and internal program partners (e.g. relocation, community affairs, events, facilities, collateral & merchandise) QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent associated experience 5+ years of talent acquisition experience Strong relationship management skills and demonstrated experience partnering with multiple organizational levels across remote teams Project coordination experience with the ability to prioritize projects and formulate the best course of action while communicating and updating multiple stakeholders Preferred: Extensive campus recruiting and university relations knowledge Experience utilizing a talent management system and/or applicant tracking system High sense of urgency with proven ability to effectively navigate shifting priorities and rapid change High degree of curiosity and drive to continuously learn, develop, and grow Gain credibility quickly and coaches others through outstanding interpersonal skills Expertly communicates and negotiates complex issues Knowledge of reporting best practices and approaches Pay Transparency Thrivent’s long-term growth depends on attracting, rewarding, and retaining people who are committed to helping others thrive with purpose. The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $81,537.00 - $110,315.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
