Safe Space Program Supervisor Organization: Thrive Liberation Community Center Position: Safe Space Program Supervisor (Contract, 2–3 hours per week) Location: Virtual (Hybrid optional – Charlotte, NC preferred) Compensation: Stipend up to $1,000 per pilot About Thrive Thrive Liberation Community Center empowers Black youth and young adults to thrive through civic wellness and community care so that they may live fully, lead boldly, and liberate completely. Our Safe Space program is a five-week, student-centered initiative that helps high school students explore safety within themselves and their communities, develop self-advocacy skills, and design projects that strengthen community wellness. Position Overview Thrive Liberation Community Center is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide program supervision and clinical-informed oversight for MSW interns supporting the Safe Space pilot. This role focuses on intern supervision, ethical guidance, and emotional support in a non-clinical, community-based setting. This position does not provide therapy or direct clinical services to youth participants. This is a pilot that will run twice. Key Responsibilities • Provide regular supervision to MSW interns (group and/or individual) • Support interns with: professional boundaries and ethics, emotional processing and reflective practice, and navigating challenging group dynamics. • Serve as a consultation resource for Thrive leadership • Support escalation and safety protocols as needed • Review intern reflections or documentation when appropriate • Contribute to a supportive, healing-centered learning environment Qualifications • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license • Experience supervising MSW interns or early-career social workers • Experience or interest in: youth development, community-based or nonprofit programming, trauma-informed or healing-centered approaches • Strong alignment with Thrive’s mission and values Preferred (Not Required) • Experience working with Black youth and young adults • Background in group facilitation or leadership development • Familiarity with school-adjacent or grassroots community spaces To Apply Please submit a resume, a brief statement of interest, and two professional references to gia@thrivelcc.org with the subject line: “LCSW Safe Space Supervisor Application.” Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
