Threat Tec has an immediate opening for an LREC Information Management Specialist to join our growing team supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Special Operations Force Language Office (SOFLO) in Tampa, Florida. This position plays a critical role in the management and oversight of Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) programs within the command. The specialist will ensure accuracy and effectiveness of LREC-related databases, training records, and reporting to align language and cultural readiness with operational requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Serve as a technical expert in the implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and programming of Foreign Language-related databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools. • Provide technical guidance to program managers, analysts, and users, resolving the most complex issues. • Conduct studies and special projects to improve database operations in support of the Foreign Language program. • Provide input on software standards and system updates for data management. • Plan and coordinate all phases of database upgrades, including installation, implementation, data integrity, and security. • Monitor database use, identify performance issues, and recommend corrective actions. • Troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues to ensure systems operate effectively and securely. • Provide development support for application interfaces with database systems. • Create and modify physical database structures. • Recover and restore databases in the event of hardware/software failures or errors. • Develop disaster recovery and contingency plans for database operations. • Coordinate and implement security strategies for database systems. • Support Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus (FLPB) payment processing for assigned personnel. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Linguistics, Information Management, or related discipline. • U.S. Citizenship. • Active Security Clearance (required). • Experience in data management, training coordination, or program administration. • Background in linguistics, regional studies, or cultural anthropology. • Experience with military LREC programs (e.g., LEAP, DLPT, DLI). • Familiarity with Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) tracking and reporting. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint. • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
