Project Manager for LIS Implementation (Remote, Contract) We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementation for one of our clients who is a large, high-volume pathology laboratory. The organization supports 24 hospitals and more than 600 physicians, operating in a complex, multi-site clinical environment. This is a contract/consulting position and this individual will be responsible for managing all phases of an LIS implementation, including planning, execution, go-live, and stabilization. Contract Duration: 9 12 months Reports To: Director of Laboratory Services Industry: Pathology / Clinical Laboratory Services Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Laboratory Information System (LIS) Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies Coordinate activities across laboratory operations, pathology, IT, hospital partners, and vendors Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory, IT teams, and LIS vendor(s) Manage risks, issues, and change requests to ensure project success Oversee system configuration, interfaces, data migration, testing, training, and go-live Ensure minimal disruption to laboratory operations in a 24/7 clinical environment Support regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., CAP, CLIA, HIPAA) Provide regular project status updates and reporting to laboratory leadership Required Qualifications Proven experience managing LIS implementation projects Strong project management skills across full project lifecycles Experience working in complex, multi-site healthcare organizations Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with pathology workflows and laboratory systems is a strong plus, but not a must Experience with Orchard Harvest LIS or Orchard-to-new-LIS migrations is a plus, but not a must Experience supporting laboratories serving hospital systems and large physician networks is a plus, but not a must Apply to this position by simply clicking the APPLY button below
