Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials Job Description Location/Division Specific Information: As part of the BioServices team, the Rockville, MD site focuses on the receipts, inventory storage, withdrawal and shipment of biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials fro multiple commercial and government clients. How Will You Make an Impact?: The Material Handler I supports operations by storing and shipping materials at temperatures ranging from ambient (room temperature) to -196 degrees C with potentially hazardous properties. A Day in the Life: • Receive incoming raw materials • Facilitate movement of materials, including hazardous materials, across the site • Maintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle counts • Perform GMP/GDP production functions Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
