DESCRIPTION: As a Senior Manager of Procurement/Sourcing at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll develop complex global category strategies and guide cross-functional teams to optimize spend, enhance supplier relationships, and deliver continuous improvement. You'll make meaningful contributions to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies, negotiate global agreements, and build strong partnerships across the organization while mentoring procurement professionals. This role offers the opportunity to create significant business impact through strategic sourcing initiatives while growing at an innovative organization committed to integrity, intensity, involvement and innovation. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in large matrix organizations with increasing global responsibility • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related technical field • Professional certifications preferred (CPSM, CPIM, PMP or equivalent) • 7+ years category management experience with demonstrated expertise in assigned categories • 3+ years people management experience leading procurement teams, including coaching and development • Strong strategic sourcing and category management process knowledge, including AQSCIR methodology • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year category strategies to reduce total cost of ownership • Excellence in stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across functions • Strong negotiation, analytical and presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities • Experience working in regulated industries (life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device preferred) • Expertise in supplier relationship management, contract development and risk mitigation • Proficiency with eSourcing tools, spend analytics and procurement systems • Project management skills with ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives • Ability to adapt and make decisions with incomplete information • Strong business acumen and understanding of P&L, financial planning and forecasting • Travel required 25-50% • International/multi-cultural work experience preferred Thank you for your interest as you consider starting a new career journey with us.
