As part of a growing software organization, you will work at the intersection of diagnostic precision, digital health, and lab workflow transformation. You will contribute to defining product direction, evaluating customer needs, and advancing platform capabilities that support cloud-based interoperability, scalability, and AI-enabled innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategic Product Planning & Roadmap Support Contribute to the development and maintenance of multi-year software product strategies and roadmaps. Support initiatives related to platform unification, modular architecture, and cloud enablement across legacy and next-generation offerings. Conduct competitive assessments, customer research, and strategic analysis to inform product direction. Voice of the Customer & Clinical Insight Engage with HLA labs, transplant centers, and clinical collaborators to gather insights and understand unmet needs. Translate user feedback into product opportunities that improve lab efficiency, data integration, and diagnostic workflows. Support pilots and early-stage engagements with strategic customers. Platform and Ecosystem Support Collaborate on the design and expansion of our next-generation transplant diagnostics platform that connects internal and external software tools. Assist in defining modules that solve high-impact clinical problems with a focus on interoperability (FHIR/HL7) and extensibility. Participate in partner evaluations and platform integration planning. Cross-Functional Coordination & Business Alignment Collaborate with collaborators in R&D, Engineering, Commercial, Regulatory, and Legal to align product plans with business needs. Contribute to argument development, market opportunity assessments, and planning for new product introductions. Support go-to-market planning and product lifecycle management. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical or healthcare field is required. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred. 7+ years of experience in product management or product strategy roles within software, diagnostics, or healthcare technology. 5+ years of management or leadership experience, including direct people management. Experience supporting or managing software products in regulated healthcare environments (e.g., CLIA, HIPAA, ISO 13485) preferred. Working knowledge of FDA regulations and IVDR (In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation) requirements is highly preferred. Familiarity with HLA lab workflows, transplant diagnostics, or LIMS systems is highly desirable. Technical & Strategic Competence Knowledge of SaaS platforms, cloud architecture, microservices, and APIs. Understanding of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and modern software lifecycle practices. Experience with AI/ML or digital health tools is a plus. Experience developing pricing models for different go-to-market strategies, including subscription, licensing, SaaS, PaaS, and DaaS. Proficiency with modern product management and roadmap tools such as Aha!, Productboard, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms. Leadership & Communication Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence across functions. Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $143,000.00–$214,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
