Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Position: Production Planning and Inventory Manager Location: Fremont, CA Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st Shift The Production Planning and Inventory Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, change management and daily supervision of all functions and personnel which are responsible for Production planning and inventory management. The successful candidate will establish and drive standard work for our Production planning team as well as drive overall inventory management and optimization. The Production Planning and Inventory Manager is responsible for supporting the goals and objectives of the site, as determined by customer requirements and business priorities. Achieving these goals will require cross-functional leadership and collaboration, and working across multiple sites and functions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the Production Planning team and influence cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding performance outcomes in customer delivery and inventory optimization. • Foster a culture of integrity, intensity, innovation, and involvement. • Create and Manage site master production schedule. • Build collaborative relationships across various functions and seniority levels. • Resolve customer situations effectively when required. • Develop goals, track trends, and implement standard work through effective change management. • Report business metrics, set targets, and identify new opportunities. • Participate in and support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) efforts to improve customer experience. • Coach and mentor colleagues to lead and participate in improvement efforts. • Drive consistent practices and standard work for critical responsibilities. • Take ownership of Raw Materials Planning across the Fremont site • Take lead in improving and driving the site inventory management cadence. • Share standard methodologies for Materials Planning across the team. • Transform inventory data into actionable insights for decision-making. • Collaborate with Finance to improve inventory projection capabilities and mitigate Excess & Obsolete Inventory (E&O). • Contribute to the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Process. • Improve awareness of risks and opportunities in inventory and raw material supply. • Support local decision-making on master data parameters with the supply planning team. • Improve planning tools and systems for efficiency. • Identify and accurate anomalies in materials management processes using Root Cause Analysis and PPI. Qualifications: Education, Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field • 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field. • 5+ years of people management experience • Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered • Experience with ERP systems like QAD Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • Proficiency in managing and analyzing data in Excel, including advanced pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis. • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, finite scheduling, product flow, and inventory planning. • Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) principles. • Strong executive communication and influencing skills. • Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher). Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $101,300.00–$151,925.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
