Work Schedule First Shift (Days) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) Job Description Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: 6:45am - 2:45pm, Mon - Fri Location/Division Specific Information: Thermo Fisher Scientific run's the World's largest clinical packaging operation. How Will You Make an Impact?: As a Material Handler II you will perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of materials and consumables at the Indianapolis packaging facility. A Day in the Life: Check materials and goods for distribution against purchase orders or invoices and maintain associated records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Review orders, stock, and distribute products and materials per the daily schedule. Package and prepare products and consumables for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers) Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Complete daily tasks and learn new ones with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees. Great teammate who can complete tasks safely and timely and help others as needed. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills with the motivation to complete daily goals. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Lift or move up to 25 lbs. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, coveralls, and protective eyewear. Near Vision Acuity with minimum 20/40 corrected vision and color vision.
