Job Overview & Work Site Position Summary: The Credentialing and Enrollment Specialist manages new Group and/or Individual provider enrollment and credentialing applications processes. The Credentialing and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting credentialing applications and supporting documentation for the purpose of enrolling individual providers and provider groups with payers. In addition, tracking progress and follow up on the status of pending applications occurs until fully processed/approved. This includes but is not limited to contacting payers via telephone, website, or payer portal to determine updated payer processes, and any additional communication with the client as needed to collect demographic information, supporting documentation and finalize applications prior to submission. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for enrollment and credentialing provider application processing and monitoring including, but not limited to: PECOS and non-Medicare provider enrollment and or credentialing system input Provider application updates and or modifications, if requested by payer Provider communication with client regarding project status, as applicable Provider notification both verbal and/or hardcopy of application determination. Follow up with Payers to ensure timely application/processing of the provider enrollment Research, pursue and resolve any issues with the enrollment submissions in a timely manner. Resolve problems and answer inquiries from clients utilizing excellent customer service skills. Establish and maintain a professional business relationship with all assigned clients, Completes payer applications with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist billing with issues that pertain to provider enrollment denials/issues. Establish and maintain a professional and courteous work environment and display a willingness to work with others to ensure the team’s success. Demonstrated strong organizational skills (record keeping, time management, follow up, etc.). Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency, ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality and accuracy of work. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and deal with interruptions while meeting timely deadlines. Ability to operate all office equipment (i.e., calculating machine, computer, word processing, database and spreadsheet programs, telephone, copy machine and fax machine). Computer experience: Microsoft Office Applications, Internet etc. Beneficial Skills and Experience: Credentialing and Enrollment Experience Experience with payer interaction. Min USD $16.00/Hr.
