Associate’s degree with 2–4 years estimating or related technical experience, strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of boilers and manufacturing procedures preferred.
Title: Parts & Projects Estimator Location: Remote (Exton, PA) Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing / Power Equipment Job Description The Parts & Projects Estimator will partner closely with Engineers, Product Managers, Sales Specialists, suppliers, and other business areas as required to prepare cost estimates for each specified proposal scope of work. This role requires strong coordination across departments and effective time management skills to deliver accurate and timely information to the appropriate business units. Key Responsibilities • Prepare proposal contract material cost estimates and pricing for boiler and environmental equipment. • Work from drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, estimating databases, previous similar estimates, and other sources to develop detailed estimates. • Utilize established estimating tools (templates, databases, costing systems) to build accurate estimates from quoted or estimated components. • Obtain firm quotes for equipment, fabrication, materials, and components from suppliers or through corporate purchasing. • Develop complete project estimates including material costs, person-hours, purchased goods, freight and service costs, engineering and project management costs, and other commercial or project-related costs as required. • Support Proposal and Project Management, Accounting, Purchasing, Scheduling, Construction, and other internal functions by providing detailed scope and cost information. • Participate as a member of the proposal team, including cost review and pricing approval meetings. • Complete change control estimates to capture financial adjustments to the project. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Associate’s degree required. • 2–4 years of experience in Estimating, or equivalent background in Technical Design, Engineering, Purchasing, or related functions. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. • Working knowledge of boilers, environmental equipment standards, manufacturing procedures, and construction techniques preferred.
