Full Description

About Themis Themis is on a mission to democratize governance and risk. We’re building simple, intuitive software that enables modern companies to monitor and share their internal governance controls with external partners, investors, auditors, and regulators—all without the legacy overhead. Our platform bridges the communication gap between internal departments and external stakeholders, making compliance and risk management less about paperwork and more about strategic collaboration. We're a small, fast-moving team with deep conviction that governance can be a growth enabler—if done right. The Role We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our core product team and shape how compliance teams navigate complex workflows with clarity and confidence. You’ll lead design efforts across Themis’s compliance modules—from issue management and policy reviews to AI-assisted control mapping and reporting. As a product designer, you’ll partner closely with product, engineering, and customer success to turn ambiguous user needs into clear, intuitive, and elegant experiences. You’ll own the design system, bring consistency across workflows, and create interfaces that make compliance work feel empowering—not bureaucratic. What You’ll Do ● Own the end-to-end design process, from discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and delivery ● Translate complex regulatory workflows into intuitive UI/UX, balancing usability with auditability ● Work directly with customers to uncover needs, test assumptions, and validate concepts ● Create and maintain design documentation, including component specs, UX requirements, and Figma-ready systems ● Partner with PMs and engineers to ensure smooth handoffs, tight feedback loops, and thoughtful execution ● Develop scalable design patterns across modules, with a strong focus on clarity, simplicity, and trust ● Collaborate on the evolution of our product—crafting experiences that guide users through policies, controls, and risk decisions with confidence About You ● 3–5+ years of experience designing B2B SaaS products, ideally in highly regulated industries like fintech, healthtech, or enterprise security ● Strong systems thinker—you can simplify complexity and bring coherence to multi-step workflows ● Comfortable leading design in ambiguity—able to balance short-term needs with long-term vision ● Skilled in Figma with an eye for detail and a love for clean, purposeful UI ● Deep empathy for users and the patience to test, listen, iterate, and refine ● Great collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams Bonus Points ● Experience designing governance, compliance, or risk management tools ● Background in building AI-integrated workflows or decision-support interfaces ● Fluency in product strategy and comfort contributing beyond UI (e.g., product discovery, UX writing) ● Familiar with tools like Amplitude, Notion, Linear, and Jira Working at Themis We’re not just building great software—we’re building a great company. That means: ● A culture of autonomy and trust, not micromanagement ● Weekly team standups, real talk, and continuous learning ● Access to the best tools, limited bureaucracy, and high expectations ● Space to be yourself—we want your ideas, your energy, and your weird
