Join our friendly team as a Part-Time Weekday Cashier at our beloved café in Doylestown, PA. As the first and last point of contact for our customers, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and efficient experience. This role requires exceptional customer service and attention to detail in handling transactions and orders.Key Responsibilities • Process all customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system. • Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments. • Greet customers warmly, take food and beverage orders, and answer questions about menu items and pricing. • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout and counter area throughout the shift. • Accurately count and reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift. • Assist with light tasks such as restocking pastries, grabbing coffee cups, and preparing basic beverages during slow periods. • Resolve minor customer concerns promptly and professionally, or escalate issues to a manager when necessary. Schedule and Compensation • Hours: Part-Time, Monday through Friday, approximately 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Hours may vary slightly based on candidate availability and café needs. • Tips: Cash tips averaging $10–$15 per day are included. • No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays. • Free shift meals. Qualifications and Skills • Prior experience in a cash handling or customer service role is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash. • A friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor when interacting with customers. • Reliability and punctuality are essential for our daily opening schedule. • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
