Dining Room Manager Reports To: Food & Beverage Director Location: The Village Club — Bloomfield Hills, MI About Us Founded in 1956, The Village Club is known for its elegant dining and exceptional hospitality. Housed in a historic clubhouse once called Robin Hood’s Barn, the Club blends classic charm with modern comfort, offering members refined cuisine, attentive service, and memorable dining experiences. Position Summary The Dining Room Manager leads front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service, smooth daily operations, and a memorable member dining experience. This hands-on role requires leadership, organization, and a passion for fine dining and hospitality. Key Responsibilities • Lead, train, and mentor the dining room team to uphold high standards of service, presentation, and member satisfaction. • Ensure consistent execution of food and beverage service according to Club recipes and standards. • Assist with floor operations during busy periods, including expediting and food running. • Manage POS menus, bar offerings, and modifiers for efficient service. • Prepare schedules, reports, BEOs, and other operational paperwork on time. • Schedule labor to meet service and budget goals. • Oversee equipment, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance. • Supervise product receiving and inventory accuracy. • Implement staff training and professional development programs. • Enforce policies, conduct performance evaluations, and administer corrective actions as needed. • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations. • Support the F&B Director with insights, recommendations, and operational planning. Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of front-of-house experience in leadership or assistant management roles. • Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Comfortable operating a POS system and basic math skills. • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds. • Schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Stamina for 45–55 hours per week. • Must be 21 years or older.
