About the position Core Responsibilities Supports rate strategy development and execution. Conducts deep quantitative and qualitative analysis on rate environments, competitive trends, product economics, and client behavior to inform recommendations on rate levels, tiering, and pricing levers. Synthesizes data into decision-ready insights for senior leaders. Collaborates with cross-functional partners. Works closely with senior leaders, product owners, Finance, Enterprise Risk, and market research partners to evaluate rate strategy impacts and align on recommendations. Helps ensure rate decisions adhere to Vanguard’s product philosophy, internal governance requirements, and risk frameworks. Performs analytical modeling and scenario evaluation. Builds and maintains analytical models—such as competitor comparisons, elasticity assessments, projection scenarios, and profitability analyses—to evaluate rate changes and product implications. Ensures quality and accuracy of underlying data and assumptions. Monitors market dynamics and competitive movements. Conducts ongoing research into competitor pricing, industry trends, macroeconomic indicators, and client preferences. Translates findings into proactive insights to inform positioning and future strategic direction. Prepares materials for forums and decision bodies. Develops clear, compelling presentations, dashboards, and written summaries of analyses, insights, and recommendations for internal audiences, including leadership teams, governance forums, and program stakeholders. Contributes and drives thought leadership and continuous improvement. Identifies emerging topics or opportunities that could strengthen Vanguard’s rate strategy or client value proposition. Proposes research avenues and assists in shaping the rate strategy roadmap. Participates in special initiatives. Supports cross‑functional projects related to pricing, finance, product development, or strategic planning. Performs additional responsibilities as business needs evolve. Requirements • Eight years related work experience, including five years experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy. • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Nice-to-haves • Graduate degree preferred. • CFA preferred.
