At least 5 years of program management experience in environmental or community organizations, strong communication and leadership skills, budget and volunteer management experience, and proficiency in data analysis.

Role Overview: As the Urban Outdoors Program Manager, you will lead initiatives that connect urban communities with nature through innovative outdoor programs. Your role is pivotal in expanding access to green spaces, promoting environmental education, and enhancing community involvement in conservation efforts. What You'll Do: - You will develop and implement urban outdoor programs that engage diverse community members. - You will collaborate with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders to expand program reach. - You will manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery. - You will oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination to support program activities. - You will evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and reporting. - You will promote environmental education and awareness through workshops and events. - You will advocate for urban conservation initiatives within the community. - You will contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support program growth. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years experience in program management, preferably in environmental or community-based organizations. - Strong knowledge of urban conservation, environmental education, and community engagement. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and lead teams. - Proven ability to manage budgets and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience with volunteer management and training. - Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation methods. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with diverse urban populations and underserved communities. - Background in grant writing and fundraising. - Familiarity with Massachusetts’ conservation landscape and policies. - Passion for outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship.
