RSM - Exmark/Spartan (NE LEPCO Region): Successfully implement company sales and marketing initiatives within the sales channel, particularly to achieve a market share leadership position and ensure Distributor/Dealer compliance with company's expectations. Position territory includes VA, WV, part of PA/NY, and all states East. What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: • Meets or exceeds stated sales objectives for area of responsibility • Maintains a sound business relationship with professional, goal-oriented and financially capable distributors and/or dealers who will provide focus to the distribution of our products. • Works closely with distributor management personnel to create effective sales and marketing programs to meet or exceed annual sales objectives • Endeavor to maintain sufficient whole goods inventory, service parts and accessories in distributor warehouse to ensure sales objectives can be achieved • Conduct quarterly reviews with distributor management relating to performance metrics, service proficiency, customer relations, advertising and related marketing efforts, sales promotion, key financial performance indicators, and forecasting/booking practices • Partner with each distributor in preparing an annual business/activity plan. This management tool will serve as a sales and marketing blueprint to be utilized throughout the upcoming fiscal year. Business/activity plan will be reviewed quarterly with appropriate distributor team members and action plans formulated for the proceeding quarter. • Conduct product and sales training meetings for distributor personnel as required utilizing the latest sales tools and technologies • Successfully communicate and implement all brand initiatives and expectations with assigned distributors • Timely communicate with business leadership regarding channel issues, competitive promotions and strategies and other related industry news. • Facilitate, negotiate, and resolve specific channel issues involving distributors, dealerships and end users • Represent our brand(s) at assigned trade shows, distributor/dealer functions, training conferences and other functions as assigned • Demonstrate high ethical standards and operate with extraordinary levels of integrity. • Other duties as assigned. What Do You Need? To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; minimum HS diploma. • RSM I = 5+ years professional experience; industry strongly preferred. • RSM II = 8+ years profession experience; at least some industry experience required. • Must enjoy building and cultivating long term business relationships. Must have mechanical aptitude and orientation. Must be willing to travel and spend considerable overnights and some weekends away from home. Must be willing to trailer, load, unload and demonstrate equipment. Must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours. Does require extensive computer interface utilizing MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, and mapping software. • Required to live in the territory. What Can We Give You? Competitive Salary – A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $125,000 - $150,000. Salary will be determined by experience and qualifications. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
