The Director of Infrastructure & Operations is a key IT leader responsible for driving enterprise technology strategy, ensuring reliable systems, and overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of clinical, business, and operational applications. Position Overview The Director of Infrastructure & Operations supports strategic IT initiatives by overseeing application architecture, system reliability, and integration across the enterprise. This leader ensures optimal use of technology to support clinical and operational excellence, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and end-user needs. Key Responsibilities Lead planning, design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise applications and information systems. Ensure successful deployment, maintenance, and optimization of software across all organizational locations. Contribute to IT strategic planning to meet evolving clinical, financial, and regulatory demands. Collaborate with hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, and leadership to align local needs with enterprise IT strategy. Maintain and upgrade existing applications while driving standardization and reducing redundant systems. Oversee application governance, capacity planning, and portfolio management. Ensure application design principles are upheld and continuously improved. Promote a customer-centric service culture that enhances user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Identify cost-saving, standardization, and process improvement opportunities and lead related initiatives. Serve as the final decision-maker for enterprise IT application matters. Required Knowledge & Experience 5–10 years of experience in healthcare applications, including clinical, financial, and regulatory systems. Strong background in application selection, implementation, and system life cycle management. Proven experience in strategic information systems planning and execution. Knowledge of IT processes across acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and ambulatory settings. Demonstrated success in IT strategy delivery with the ability to influence organizational goals. Experience managing centralized and distributed IT resources and coordinating multiple projects. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
