Hello Teachers! The Reimagined Classroom is a curriculum writing company and we’re continuing to grow. We write curriculum and educational content (K-12) in all subject areas. We are looking to hire High School and Middle School STEM and Makerspace teachers to create inquiry-based STEM content and educational materials like lesson plans, curriculum maps, performance assessments, scripts, videos, and more! Writers must be experts at differentiating and scaffolding educational materials, as well as creating both student-facing and teacher-facing content. This role involves engaging with a wide variety of clients and projects; work may vary from designing a robotics camp curriculum to editing instructional videos about programming poetry using Python! Flexibility, a love for learning, and a growth mindset are needed to keep up with the shifting landscape of technology education. Pay is $30/hr. Work is on a freelance basis. We’re looking for someone who can dedicate a minimum of 20 hours a week. We offer a ton of flexibility and ALL of the work is from home! We need people who are really creative, detail-oriented, can meet deadlines, and have teaching/ content creation experience in the grades and topics listed above. These opportunities can start ASAP for the right person. We will always have steady work for the right people. Roles and Responsibilities: • Work with Team Leads and Project Managers to scope, outline, author, and revise STEM-based lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, visuals, examples, and instructional videos. • Research and develop scaffolded education materials about programming, 3D modeling, design thinking, cybersecurity, virtual/augmented reality, digital art, robotics, web design, and other STEM-adjacent topics. • Identify, interpret, and include a wide variety of national/international standards through a cross-curricular lens. • Generate differentiated lessons and projects for students of all backgrounds and abilities. • Prioritize, schedule, and meet internal deadlines for deliverables. Prior Experience: • 3+ years of teaching experience at the middle school and/or high school level. • Teaching experience in one or more of the following subjects: Computer Science, Engineering, Web Design, Graphic Design, Woodshop, Makerspace, Electronics, Robotics, 3D Modeling. • Designing, uploading, and managing content on standard Learning Management Systems. • Integration of game-based and gamified learning elements into classrooms of various grade levels. • Working knowledge and application of the Design Thinking process. Technical Skills *(Please note that not all skills are required just a growth mindset): • Programming languages: Block Coding (Scratch, MakeCode), Python, Java, Arduino, HTML. • LMS authoring and integration: Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, Google Classroom, Matrix LMS, Rise Articulate 360. • Video Creation/ Editing software: Adobe Premier, iMovie, or comparable. • Graphic Design software: Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Gravit, or comparable. • Basic knowledge of electronics and microcontrollers: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or comparable. • 3D Modeling software: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, OnShape, TinkerCAD, or comparable. • Makerspace tools such as laser cutters and vinyl cutters • Project Management Software: Monday, Trello, or comparable. • Fluency in both Microsoft and Google products.
