Provide executive and operational support including calendar management, compliance, and financial processes.
Over 5 years supporting executives and managing operational processes, but no direct experience with no-code/low-code systems or legal operations.
About the Company The Public Interest Company is a comprehensive solution for identifying and recovering third party liability for health plans, risk-bearing provider groups, and self-funded employers. We combine AI and a legal tech platform to identify and recover claims that should have been paid by third party payers. We handle the entire recovery process, all while protecting members and streamlining operations. We empower healthcare organizations to maximize their financial performance and recoup dollars towards care delivery, without adding administrative burden. Role Overview The Operations Manager will lead the strategy and execution of operational efficiency initiatives across TPIC's Recovery Operations — spanning Case Management and Litigation. This role is responsible for transforming how our recovery workflows operate: identifying bottlenecks, building scalable processes, and deploying no-code tooling and system integrations that multiply the effectiveness of our teams. This is not a project management role. The ideal candidate is a builder — someone who can map a broken workflow in the morning, design a solution by afternoon, and have an automation running by end of week. You will own the operational infrastructure that powers our recovery engine, and your work will directly impact recoveries and revenue. Responsibilities Own Recovery Operations efficiency end-to-end: Map, analyze, and continuously improve workflows across Case Management and Litigation to increase throughput, reduce errors, and improve resolution rates. Build no-code and low-code operational products: Design and deploy workflow automations, decision tools, and process enhancements using no-code platforms — reducing manual effort and enabling the team to scale without headcount growth. Drive systems integration and optimization: Build and maintain integrations, automations, and optimizations across recovery operations platforms, including FileVine, Infotrack, and other legal tech tools — ensuring seamless data flow and operational consistency. Lead process design and documentation: Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and process libraries that serve as the operational backbone for Case Management and Litigation teams. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks: Proactively surface inefficiencies across the recovery lifecycle and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve them with durable, scalable solutions. Support FileVine enablement: Ensure FileVine is properly configured, consistently adopted across teams, and optimized for collaboration with outside counsel and internal legal operations. Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Case Management, Legal, and Product/Engineering teams to translate operational needs into system improvements and engineering requests — with clear requirements and measurable outcomes. Manage and prioritize the operations improvement backlog: Maintain a structured pipeline of improvement initiatives, balancing quick wins with longer-term systems investments. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in operations roles with a focus on process improvement, workflow automation, or systems optimization. Demonstrated ability to build no-code or low-code solutions (e.g., Zapier, Make, Airtable, or similar platforms) that solve real operational problems at scale. Experience configuring, optimizing, or administering legal tech or case management platforms — FileVine, Infotrack, or comparable systems preferred. Strong systems thinker: able to understand complex workflows, identify leverage points, and design solutions that hold up as volume grows. Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments — you define the process when none exists and improve it when it does. Previous startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred. Legal operations, litigation support, or healthcare claims experience strongly preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to document complex workflows clearly and coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Data-driven approach to measuring operational performance and validating improvements.
