Oral Surgeon Job Description & Essential Functions: As an oral surgeon, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional care to patients with various oral health issues, ranging from impacted wisdom teeth to complex facial trauma. • As an oral surgeon, you should be able to provide top-quality care for patients with a range of oral and maxillofacial health problems. This includes diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries, and defects that impact both the functionality and appearance of the hard and soft tissues in the head and mouth. • You must adhere to the highest standards of dental practice ethics and professionalism at all times. This means always putting the well-being of your patients first, maintaining confidentiality, and staying up to date on new advancements in surgical techniques. • Your expertise will be crucial in performing complex surgical procedures to correct issues such as impacted teeth, facial trauma, tumors or cysts affecting the jaw or face, TMJ disorders, or congenital deformities. Qualifications: • DDS or DMD • Certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is required.
