Assist in daily club operations, support staff and instructors, manage front desk, and learn leadership and management skills to advance to managerial roles.
No prior management experience required, but must have strong motivation, communication skills, reliability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Full-Time | $18/hour + Commissions | Growth Path to Leadership The Picklr Burlington is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Manager in Training (MIT) to join our growing team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong athletic or competitive background, a passion for great customer service, and a desire to build a long-term career in leadership. No prior management experience is required - we are looking for someone with drive, integrity, and the willingness to learn. As a Manager in Training, you will work closely with the club's leadership team to master all key areas of daily operations. You will learn to deliver an exceptional experience to every member and guest by greeting visitors warmly, assisting with court bookings, answering questions, and ensuring the club always feels professional, clean, and upbeat. You will support instructors and ambassadors, help run events and classes, and maintain smooth front desk operations while developing a strong understanding of how a high-volume pickleball facility operates. The role also includes learning the foundational responsibilities of a General Manager. This includes understanding scheduling needs, supporting staff performance, motivating the team, monitoring KPIs, and helping drive memberships, lessons, events, and overall revenue growth. You will be trained to think like a leader - identifying issues before they become problems, creating positive solutions, and ensuring that The Picklr brand standards are upheld every day. Over time, you will learn how to oversee shift flow, resolve guest concerns, uphold safety and cleanliness standards, and contribute to the club's operational success. Compensation for this role includes $18.00 per hour plus monthly commissions based on club performance. Full-time MITs receive two weeks of paid vacation per year and will earn a free membership after achieving specific performance metrics. This role requires a full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends. Successful MITs who show strong performance and leadership qualities will be considered for advancement into Assistant Manager or Club Manager roles within 12–18 months. The ideal candidate is reliable, coachable, energetic, and comfortable interacting with guests in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn are essential. An athletic background or familiarity with pickleball, sports, fitness, or customer service environments is a plus, but not required. If you're ready to take the first step toward a meaningful career and grow alongside one of the fastest-expanding pickleball brands in the country, we encourage you to apply. The Picklr Burlington is looking for future leaders - and this is where that journey begins. This role is ideal for individuals who value leadership, customer service, teamwork, athletics, fitness, sports management, coaching, communication, problem-solving, reliability, motivation, adaptability, multitasking, organization, hospitality, sales, membership growth, community engagement, operational excellence, performance metrics, scheduling, front desk operations, guest relations, facility maintenance, cleanliness standards, energy, positivity, professionalism, conflict resolution, time management, accountability, mentorship, training, development, career advancement, enthusiasm, customer experience, operational support, event coordination, club management, leadership potential, initiative, service excellence, fast-paced environments, people skills, and long-term career growth.
