Manufacturing Process Engineer Location: Manchester, CT (On-site) We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace components. This role works on-site in Manchester, CT, collaborating closely with our engineering, operations, and production teams to drive efficiency, quality, and manufacturability. Key Responsibilities • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace products • Research customer specifications and identify new or improved manufacturing processes • Troubleshoot shop floor processes, tooling, and equipment to resolve production issues • Design tooling and fixtures for new products and for improving existing processes • Create and maintain engineering drawings, routers, and operation sheets for new parts • Interface with customers, machine operators, and vendors to support manufacturing needs • Review and implement manufacturing drawings and engineering change notices (ECNs) • Evaluate data and product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposals • Analyze production and quality data to ensure designs meet specifications and requirements • Drive waste reduction and capacity improvements using continuous improvement tools such as: • Structured problem solving • Setup reduction • Standardization and organization of machining centers • Mistake-proofing (poka-yoke) in tooling and fixture design Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science preferred • 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing engineering experience strongly preferred • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality systems • Working knowledge of CNC Mastercam, SolidWorks, and ERP systems • Hands-on machining background • What We’re Looking For • A practical, shop-floor-focused engineer who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems • Someone comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality • A continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail and process discipline
