The Challenge: Designing AI for the Contractor on the Go We are looking for a talented and driven UX/Design Intern to tackle a critical challenge: building NEXTGEN intuitive, high-utility AI Image Generation interfaces specifically for contractors who primarily use their phones. • * outdoorbuilders.com This is not a generic design role. Our users— contractors —are on job sites, often with limited time and focus. They need interfaces that are fast, reliable, powerful, and accessible one-handed **while standing on a ladder. We have a powerful backend and advanced AI features ready to go, including generating photorealistic design previews (e.g., decks, patios, landscaping). The missing piece is your expertise to design the UX that makes these features truly powerful for our users. What You Will Be Doing Design & Prototype AI Interfaces: Focus on mobile-first design for our cutting-edge AI image generation tools, ensuring maximum power with minimal taps. User Research & Testing: Conduct quick, targeted research (e.g., surveys, remote interviews) with contractors to understand their workflows, pain points, and mobile use cases. Contribute to Core Product UX: Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to translate complex AI capabilities into simple, elegant, and useful user flows. Iterate Rapidly: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that are ready for immediate testing and deployment in a fast-paced environment.
