The Original Hot Dog Factory Stonecrest Cook Job Description The Original Hot Dog Factory is expanding & looking for passionate and professional Line Cooks/Prep Cooks to join our team in Stonecrest, GA. We are a locally owned and operated quick service franchise restaurant that prides itself on its family-like culture. Job Summary: The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves cooking menu items to order, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring that each dish is served to the customer with consistency and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is efficient, skilled in food preparation, and able to work well under pressure. Key Responsibilities: • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. • Grill and Fry Station Management: Operate cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and charboilers to prepare hot items including hot dogs, wings, burgers, fries, and other entrees. • Quality Control: Ensure that all food items are prepared to the highest quality standards, with attention to portion control, temperature, and presentation. • Food Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Adhere to ServSafe and HACCP standards. • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, notifying management of any shortages or excess. • Order Coordination: Work closely with other kitchen staff and the front-of-house team to coordinate order preparation and delivery. • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including regular cleaning of equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. • Equipment Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to management promptly. • Waste Reduction: Minimize waste through careful food preparation and portion control.
