The Opportunity Club, Inc. – Hillsboro, OR Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour (plus $3/hour increase after certification) Schedule: Monday – Friday, shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM Hiring Immediately – 3 Full-Time Openings About the Role Join The Opportunity Club’s Day Program in Hillsboro, Oregon as a Pre-CNA Caregiver and start your career in hands-on healthcare. You’ll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who require daily assistance with personal care, mobility, inclusion, and mealtime. This role is ideal for those who find purpose in direct caregiving and want a clear, employer-funded pathway to a professional healthcare certification. After 90 days of successful onboarding, you’ll qualify for an employer-sponsored CNA or Medication Aide certification — all tuition and exam costs paid. What You’ll Do • Provide personal care and hygiene support (toileting, changing, dressing). • Operate Hoyer lifts and other transfer equipment safely. • Offer feeding, hydration, and full mealtime assistance (including spoon feeding). • Maintain a clean, dignified, and respectful environment. • Document care accurately and communicate with your team. • Work in a home-base setting with occasional community outings. Schedule & Location • Hours: Shifts between 7 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday • Location: The Opportunity Club Day Program – Hillsboro, OR • No evenings, weekends, holidays, or travel. Career Growth Pathways After 90 days, choose one of two employer-sponsored educational tracks: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Path • Gain Oregon state CNA certification. • $3/hour raise after certification. • Retention bonuses: $500 after 6 months and $1,000 after 12 months. • Additional opportunities for employer-sponsored education after 12 months. Medication Aide (Med Tech) Path • Advance into medication administration and health documentation. • Same wage increase and retention bonuses as CNA path. Pay & Benefits • $19.00 – $21.50/hour starting pay (based on experience). • $3/hour raise after certification. • Retention bonuses at 6 and 12 months post-certification. • Full tuition & exam costs covered (~$2,200 value). • Supportive & inclusive workplace. • Daytime schedule only – no nights or weekends. • Opportunities for career advancement and leadership roles What We’re Looking For • Reliable, compassionate people who want to grow in direct caregiving. • Comfortable assisting adults with toileting, lifts, hygiene, and feeding. • Physically able to lift or assist up to 40 lbs. • Prior caregiving or DSP experience helpful but not required. • Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check. • Speak and write English at a 6th grade level or higher.
