Job Title: Program Coordinator – Citizen Review Panel Project Department: Social Work | Faculty Affairs The Program Coordinator, under supervision, will coordinate key aspects of the Citizen Review Panel (CRP) Project, which engages community members in evaluating and making recommendations to improve the state’s child protection system. The Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator to ensure the successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of panel activities in alignment with federal and state mandates. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community members, agency partners, and policymakers. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Coordination · Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Citizen Review Panel Project. · Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and work plans. · Ensure project activities comply with federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) requirements and state guidelines. · Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project leadership and funding agencies. Panel Support & Facilitation · Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and supporting panel members. · Facilitate panel meetings, workgroups, and community forums. · Work with program leadership to guide panel members in reviewing data, identifying systemic issues, and formulating evidence-based recommendations. · Coordinate meeting logistics, agendas, and materials. Stakeholder Engagement · Build partnerships with agencies, advocacy groups, and service providers to gather input and share panel recommendations. · Participate and assist the team at conferences, trainings, and public meetings. Data Collection & Reporting · Under supervision, collect and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to inform panel discussions and recommendations. · Draft annual CRP reports, including findings and recommendations for submission to the state child welfare agency and federal partners. · Track and report on the implementation of recommendations. Administrative Support · Assist in preparing annual reports and documentation as required by funders. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. Preferred: · 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. · Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, public policy, sociology, or a related field. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. · Strong facilitation, meeting management, organizational, and communication skills. · Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams). · Minimum of three years’ experience in program/project management, preferably in child welfare, human services, or related fields. · Experience with citizen engagement, advisory boards, or community-based participatory approaches. · Familiarity with child welfare policy, data, and systems. · Project management experience. Work Environment & Schedule This is a full-time (40 hours per week) remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates located in Ohio, as the project is funded by the state and may require occasional in-person meetings in Ohio. The role may also require occasional evening or weekend hours for panel meetings or community events, and occasional travel to other states for events such as conferences. The actual salary will fall within this range based on the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, and the unit’s available budget. This position is grant funded and is contingent upon funding availability.
