Job Title: Business Operations Senior Analyst Department: James | Clinical Operations Administration Position Summary The Business Operations Senior Analyst functions as an integral part of The James Facilities Operations Management and Services Department team by managing all James clinical space optimization services delivery. This team member develops standard operating practices for space utilizations throughout cancer services and supports the growth strategies of the cancer program by providing onboarding services to over 50 faculty appointments annually. The Business Operations Senior Analyst uses planning and hospital-based clinic management expertise to provide departmental operations support, including project/program management oversight, resource planning and development, procurement, organization, process improvement, standardization initiatives, policy development, and complete special projects, as it relates to space optimization; patient visits to James hospital-based outpatient clinics encompasses more 488,000 annual visits at 7 clinic site locations. This position supports The James' mission and values by coordinating and providing exceptional level of operational principles and analytical processes; and responsibilities include actively promoting an Intensive Caring image in support of an absolute customer satisfaction. The Business Operations Senior Analyst facilitates communication activities and problem solving, and supports an environment conductive to delivery of effective operations; and interacts with staff, physicians, and administrators/managers to continuously assess environmental issues, and establish and maintain quality control, appropriate business practices, and hospital operations guaranteeing compliance with life safety standards defined by JC and other regulatory bodies. The Business Operations Senior Analyst participates in organizational strategic planning initiatives, and is responsible for directing project management, resource planning and development, space requests and assignments, initiating process improvement activities, and attending multidisciplinary committee meetings that impact the high quality health services delivery across the continuum of care for cancer patients. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospital Administration or related field is required. Master Degree in Business or Hospital Administration is preferred. At least five years of experience in healthcare/hospital operations is strongly preferred. Position requires leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, effective communications skills, and continued professional development. Extensive experience required in the areas of data analysis and reporting; and process evaluation, planning, and improvement. Working knowledge of information systems and computer-based programs including spreadsheets, presentations, databases, word processing, reports, graphics, and web development. Ongoing: Maintain certification (if applicable). Demonstrated competency to meet essential job functions. Minimum ongoing requirements include excellent writing and communication skills with superb attention to detail; ability to prioritize workload; energetic creative thinking; meeting mandatory education and health surveillance requirements; and demonstrating competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member who actively contributes to the effective planning, coordination and implementation of healthcare services.
