This position requires a highly motivated, team-oriented candidate with government relations, advocacy and/or political campaign experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and attention to detail. Your role will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with key policymakers and stakeholders, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and developing advocacy strategies to promote the interests of the manufacturing sector. Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways: Support operations of the Managing Vice President, Government Relations including scheduling, budget, travel and other special projects. Support operations of the Government Relations team in their efforts to build and sustain relationships with Congress, the Administration, and other relevant officials and industry stakeholders. Support NAM-PAC administration and activities. Coordinate and execute association-hosted meetings, facility visits, political fundraisers, sponsorships and events. Work to advance the NAM's policy agenda by supporting the Government Relation team’s extensive contact with the U.S. Congress and the Administration. Maintain knowledge of NAM priorities and legislative issues to provide accurate and timely information and assistance to member companies and internal staff. Engage member company government relations representatives and be responsive to their requests and professional in all interactions. Ability to handle pressure in a deadline driven environment. Support grasstops advocacy initiatives in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Engage in development of events and trainings associated with ambassador program, ensuring effective training, communication, and support for ambassadors to maximize their impact and engagement. Collaborate internally on advocacy campaign strategies by aiding in leveraging a network of advocates. Conduct research and analysis to identify key stakeholders, industry leaders, and potential grasstops advocates who can support the organization's initiatives. Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, industry associations, and community leaders to expand the organization's network and amplify its message. Create and distribute compelling advocacy materials, including briefing documents, talking points, and advocacy toolkits, to empower advocates in their outreach efforts. We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria: Proven experience (3+ years) in government relations, legislative and regulatory affairs, political campaigns, and/or public policy. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. Strong interest and understanding of the political landscape, public policy issues, and advocacy strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build relationships effectively with colleagues. Demonstrated success in recruiting and mobilizing advocates or influencers to support organizational goals, with a track record of building and managing influential networks. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven work environment. Demonstrated ability to contribute significantly to campaigns and initiatives in the political or business advocacy environment. Deadline and detail-oriented, with the ability to rapidly produce documents, resources, or other deliverables to support NAM members and stakeholders. Preferred bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Salary Range: $71,000 - $80,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
