Role Overview The Digital Product Merchandiser requires a strong e-commerce mindset, a data-driven approach, and an insatiable curiosity to test everything. This will own the digital merchandising strategy for new products—ensuring every SKU is beautifully represented, discoverable, and positioned to convert. You’ll work with all assets of the company from logistics and purchasing to sales and marketing. You will blend creative merchandising with analytical rigor to help the right customer find the right product at the right time. Key Responsibilities Product Listings & Conversion Rate Optimization ● Create, update, and maintain original content-rich listings that are SEO-friendly, and conversion focused for all new factory-authorized gear. ● Ensure every SKU is current with vendor updates, pricing changes, promotions, and specifications. ● Use Google Analytics, Shopify, and other reporting features to find trends in products that can be used to leverage better conversion rates. ● Constantly perform A/B tests in product pages in accordance to marketing standards and create actionable changes based on data. ● Audit listings weekly for accuracy, image quality, completeness, and conversion performance. ● Ensure all new products are 100% ready for sale before launch dates (i.e. listings, vendor creative assets, etc.) Manage Vendor Orders and Inventory Alignment ● Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy while maintaining optimal stock levels. ● Track and update ETAs, proactively follow up with vendors, and communicate changes to sales and marketing teams. ● Maintain strong vendor relationships to improve responsiveness, collaboration and speed of fulfillment. ● Work with factory authorized brands to ensure we are receiving all creative and request different assets if needed. ● Partner with Logistics to ensure received products match active listings and inventory Monitor and Move Aging Inventory ● Continually monitor aging inventory and work with marketing team to create campaigns and sales methods to move them quickly while trying to maintain. ● Work with marketing team to develop strategies and tactics to move stagnant inventory (marketing campaigns, product bundling, sales and promotions, site placement, pricing, etc.) ● Partner with marketing team to request tactical support for key items when inventory levels demand higher focus. ● Analyze sell-through performance each week and report on findings. Site Merchandising & Conversion Optimization ● Use sales data and conversion analytics to create rules and campaigns within site search platform to dictate sort order across all factory authorized items. ● Identify high priority items and report to marketing and sales teams to build joint campaigns and push higher sales velocities. ● Help dictate and build merchandising collections and coordinate with marketing team to promote in all channels. ● Boost AOV of new items by creating product bundles, build rules around item upsell or cross sell across strategic points of customer journey. ● Test product placement, messaging, and pricing presentation to boost conversion rates. ● Create “seasonal” refreshes to ensure new items are always prioritized strategically. New Product Sales Acceleration ● Work closely with marketing and sales team to hit sales goal of $12M in new product sales. ● Identify “target” items (i.e., high-margin, high-velocity, overstocked, trending, etc.) and collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to build campaigns that drive sales towards those items? ● Coordinate with marketing teams on brand new products launches to build campaigns and sales strategies. Also ensure these product launches are being performed immediately upon release. ● Identify opportunities to increase unassisted sales through improved assortment, presentation, increase resources, and other conversion level data points. ● Research and study competitors to see where their focus is and build strategies around a competitive market. ● Identify gaps in shelf space from a product assortment view, that can be filled to boost unassisted sales. Analysis, Reporting, and A/B Testing ● Continually conduct A/B tests product pages and other areas and present results with actionable recommendations. ● Report weekly on conversions, inventory aging, and sales performance of new products. ● Maintain an ongoing merchandising roadmap based on data, trends, and business priorities. ● Meet with Marketing Director weekly to report on primary success metrics and identify pivot points based on results. Extreme Ownership ● Think beyond the checklist — bring fresh ideas to drive visibility, sales, and efficiency ● Experiment, test, and iterate to find what works best ● Own outcomes and continuously refine based on results Requirements ● 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising or digital product management. ● Proven ability to drive online sales and conversion through data-driven merchandising decisions. ● Proficient with Shopify, BigCommerce, or another major e-commerce platform (experience with product setup, tagging, and merchandising tools required). ● Familiarity with inventory management and purchase order processes, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment. ● Experience managing large product catalogs and optimizing product visibility, sort order, and category hierarchy. ● Proficient with performance analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio, or Excel/Sheets) to track performance and identify trends. ● Working knowledge of on-page SEO fundamentals as they apply to product titles, descriptions, and metadata for discoverability. ● Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a track record of accuracy in data and listings. ● Experience collaborating cross-functionally with design, sales, and marketing teams to align content with business goals. ● Demonstrates ownership mentality—takes accountability for metrics and results. ● Passion for HiFi audio, consumer electronics, or performance-driven retail is a plus. ● Familiar with inventory management or ERP systems and vendor communication workflows. ● Bonus: experience with A/B testing tools, pricing tools, or feed management platforms (e.g., Merchant Center).
