DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This individual will provide professional, high-quality customer service, manage a diverse commercial book of business, and support producers in servicing and marketing new and renewal accounts. The ideal candidate has deep experience in commercial insurance, particularly with contractors, and is confident in handling complex accounts across admitted and non-admitted markets. Key Responsibilities • Pride exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client calls, written requests, and inquiries. • Manage a renewal book of business with a focus on client retention, cross-selling, and account rounding. • Assist producers with completing applications, preparing new business and renewal quotes, and managing submissions. • Process all types of policy transactions including renewals, endorsements, certificates, billing, audits, and rewrites. • Maintain accurate records in the agency management system (Applied); follow established workflows and procedures. • Build and maintain effective relationships with carrier partners and team members. • Review policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy before delivery to clients. • Market, quote, and bind coverage for both new and renewal accounts, including smaller renewals independently. • Advise clients on coverages, answer policy questions, and identify opportunities to expand coverage or fill gaps. • Support claims process by notifying carriers, following up on outstanding claims, and assisting with resolution. • Conduct client and carrier meetings when requested. • Maintain all required continuing education, including construction-related courses (CRIS designation preferred). Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong customer service orientation, professionalism, and ability to build relationships. • Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to balance multiple priorities. • Knowledge of carrier websites and online quoting systems. • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and detail-focused. • Industries: Contractors, non-profits, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants/caterers, apartments, unions, chemical manufacturers, transportation, auto leasing, professional services firms, terminal operators, and more. • Policies: Commercial Auto, GL, Package, Workers Compensation, Umbrella (Primary & Excess), EPLI, D&O, Fiduciary, Pollution, Professional, Cyber, Contractor Bonds, Flood, Earthquake, Inland Marine, Crime, Union Liability, and Special Events. • Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial lines account management. • At least 3 of the last 5 years in an account manager role. • Strong background working with contractors, including reviewing contract insurance requirements and issuing certificates. • Active Property & Casualty license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. • Experience with non-admitted markets. • Willingness to complete continuing education courses (construction-related, CRIS designation preferred). • Ability to work in-office at least 3 days per week.
