Our client, a large Electric Vehicle Manufacture in Newark, CA is seeking a Sr. TPM SET Lead for Interiors. Location: Onsite 5 days per week in Newark, CA Length: 12+ months (contract) Pays between $70/hr - $85/hr Role Overview The Project Engineer – Interiors will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple design projects across interior systems. This individual will manage schedules, ensure cross-functional alignment, and drive progress from concept through vehicle production. Key Responsibilities • Create and maintain detailed Gantt charts for multiple design projects. • Track progress and foster teamwork to achieve milestones on schedule. • Interface with the test department and interior trim suppliers to ensure validation readiness for production. • Use Jira to communicate engineering tasks and progress. • Utilize Confluence to share critical information and project updates. • Provide regular status updates to management and executive leadership. • Lead design release and engineering change requests (ECRs) through the Lucid ECR system. • Offer technical guidance to resolve mechanical engineering challenges. • Proactively collaborate with other teams to address complex launch issues and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. • Support manufacturing build activities through occasional travel to the Arizona plant. • Present to executive staff as needed. • Participate in cost breakdown reviews and collaborate cross-functionally to define “should-cost” targets and supplier alignment. Qualifications • 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in the automotive industry. • Working knowledge of CAD programs. • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Tableau, or similar platforms. • Strong understanding of interior trim systems and manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, thixomolding, mechanical assembly, welding, and post-processing. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strategic planning ability related to project timing, cost, and technical requirements. • Proficiency in developing and managing Gantt charts. • Positive, collaborative attitude with a desire to learn and contribute. Preferred / Advantageous • PMP or CAPM certification preferred. • CATIA / 3DX experience highly desirable. • Experience automating workflows using Excel, Jira, CATIA, VBA, Python, or Tableau. • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills. • Experience leading design release and change management initiatives. • Familiarity with concept-to-launch processes for vehicle or consumer product development. Education • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
