## Key Role Overview The Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team on a variety of projects, gaining hands-on experience in problem solving, modern technologies, and cross-functional engineering (mechanical, electrical, software). The intern will report to the Director of Operations, complete a capstone project over the summer, and present results to business leadership. This paid internship emphasizes communication, practical application of engineering coursework, and continuous learning. ## Key Responsibilities - Work on specific engineering projects assigned by the Engineering team and Director of Operations, including a summer capstone project culminating in a presentation to business leadership. - Apply problem solving and learn about modern technologies to identify and implement solutions. - Communicate ideas, questions, technical issues, and solutions clearly to engineers and product management at varying levels. - Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment involving Mechanical, Electrical, and Software disciplines. - Act as a self-starter: implement tasks with minimal guidance and champion best practices. - Share technical knowledge, contribute to selecting and implementing modern technologies, and promote process improvements. ## Required Qualifications - Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. - Rising junior or senior (undergraduate level). - Strong interest in applying academic knowledge to practical engineering problems. - Problem solving and critical thinking skills. - Ability to meet deadlines and strong organizational skills. - Interest in technology and process improvement. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power.
