Process outbound shipments by managing sales orders, building load diagrams, coordinating shipments, and updating records.
High school diploma with 2 years related experience in logistics, customer service, or sales administration, strong English and organizational skills, and MS Office proficiency.
Position Overview This position will be responsible for processing outbound shipments from our US warehouses to our customers. This includes pulling open sales orders from our ERP Infor M3 and translating those sales orders into shipping orders by segregating customer PO, Legacy warehouse location and customer warehouse location. Once orders are organized, this position will build load diagrams in MaxLoad Pro for truckload and pallet shipments and share the loading details with the Legacy warehouses. Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities • Run shippable order report several times a day for processing of new customer sales orders. • Build load diagrams for truckload and box trucks, floor loaded and/or pallets using software program Max Load Pro. • Coordinate shipments by determining box or truckload shipment and whether a dual stop can be coordinated to reduce freight cost. • Request rates from truckload carriers based off the shipping lane. • Determine freight percentage and net profit of a shipment to determine whether load is cost effective. • Prepare customs documents for loads shipping to Canada and Puerto Rico in addition to other international destinations. • Update company records in ERP and databases where appropriate. • Work cross functionally, specifically with Sales, Sales Administration and Warehousing • Provide updates to Sales Admin and Sales on order processing status as it relates to Logistics • Develop a knowledge of company products and service offerings through reading, or direct training. • Any duty or responsibilities assigned by the direct leader or senior management. Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred • 2 Years of Related Experience in domestic/outbound logistics, customer service, and/or sales administration preferred. • Excellent English verbal and written skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • MS Office skills – strong with Excel.
