Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher for Infant-Toddler Age to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula tailored to infants and toddlers. Your passion for nurturing young children’s growth will inspire a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment. You will oversee daily classroom activities, mentor assistant teachers, and collaborate with families to support each child's unique developmental journey. Responsibilities • Design and execute innovative curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth for infants and toddlers. • Lead classroom management efforts to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages exploration, independence, and respect among young children. • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, behavior management, and child welfare practices. • Implement best practices in toddler care, including routines for feeding, diapering, nap time, and physical activities such as teaching physical education suitable for young children. • Engage actively with children during play-based learning activities to foster curiosity, language development, and early intervention strategies when needed. • Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to childhood development or special education needs. • Maintain accurate documentation of developmental assessments, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and classroom records in compliance with licensing standards. Qualifications • Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. • Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori or other specialized educational approaches. • Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learner needs. • Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activities, arts & crafts, and educational games tailored for infants and toddlers. • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. • Relevant certifications in early childhood education or child welfare; additional training in preschool teaching or Montessori methods is a plus. • Ability to maintain a safe environment by adhering to health regulations and implementing proper childcare procedures.
