Location: CHICAGO, IL, USA Salary: $80.00 USD Hourly - $90.00 USD Hourly Description Job Title: Internal Auditor – Market Risk Management Location: Remote Duration: Contract Job Description Our client is hiring an experienced Internal Auditor with deep expertise in Market Risk Management to support audit activities for a large global banking client. This temporary manager-level role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in market risk oversight and second line of defense functions. Responsibilities • Lead and execute audits of Market Risk Management functions, with a focus on second line of defense activities. • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls related to market risk metrics and sensitivities. • Review market risk reporting processes, including: • Stress testing methodologies. • Identification and resolution of market risk limit breaches. • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to strengthen risk governance and control frameworks. • Collaborate with client stakeholders to address control gaps and support remediation efforts. • Prepare audit documentation and contribute to formal audit reports in alignment with regulatory standards. Qualifications • Minimum of 6 years of experience in internal audit or risk management within the financial services industry . • Strong expertise in Market Risk Management , including metrics, sensitivities, and stress testing. • Proven experience auditing second line of defense functions and risk reporting processes. • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills. • Ability to manage complex audit engagements and deliver results in a dynamic environment. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with global banking regulations and audit standards. • Experience working in a matrixed or multinational organization.
