Your Opportunity as the Manager, Market Intelligence-SBA The Insights Team inspires strategy and ideas that drive consumers and shoppers to love our brands more often. We do this by blending the art of understanding people and the grounding science of data to drive meaningful strategy, insights, and recommendations. The power of this collective team brings together the Market Intelligence and Consumer and Shopper Insights professionals to drive a single source of truth that drives growth for our brands. Location: Working Remote USA In this role you will: Be a trusted strategic partner to several cross-functional teams, with Brand Marketing and Innovation teams as primary stakeholders. Uncover critical dynamics of purchase behavior that guide business decisions. Through synthesis of business analyses and other marketplace understanding, you will present actionable insights to ensure that Smucker teams have a thorough understanding of market dynamics. Use your strong analytical skills to transform data into insights, convey complex analysis into simple conclusions and recommendations. Present findings that empower others to drive action and improve business results. Lead ongoing business review analysis and cross-functional discussions. Communicate key business opportunities and risk related to market share, category trends, competition, innovation, distribution, pricing, promotion and media optimization. Continually “dig deeper” to uncover the drivers of business results and the implications for our brands. Utilize tools to predict media performance and scenario plan to drive improved ROI. Collaborate with data vendors to drive best-in-class partnerships that maximize analytic capabilities. Partner with Insights team members to ensure that a total suite of insights capabilities is leveraged to address business questions in a holistic manner What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree 5 years of experience analyzing, validating, and synthesizing data into actionable insights. Experience with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company, retailer, or syndicated data provider. Strong sense of curiosity and initiative to answer key business questions Desire to understand consumer behavior and have a passion for strengthening brands Experience with analyzing Retail POS and Panel Data within Circana or Nielsen Highly collaborative with the ability to consolidate information and drive swiftly towards answers. Knowledge of data analytics, modeling approaches and growth minded towards new approaches. Ability to identify patterns, test and learn and draw conclusions from ambiguous data. Strong attention to detail and high accuracy of output. Ability to present complex information with simplicity. Develop a strong point of view and effectively present to all levels of the organization. Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of integrity and emotional intelligence. Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: Knowledge of marketing and sales practices, consumer and retail environment. Knowledge of Kantar, Numerator, ShopperSights/Spectra.
