Bachelor's degree in International Trade or related field, Licensed Customs Broker, minimum 3 years in customs compliance, proficiency in data analysis tools, and knowledge of trade compliance platforms.
Description: • Lead trade compliance execution across the United States, Mexico, and Canada for The Home Depot and its subsidiaries • Evaluate, develop, implement, and enhance global trade compliance activities (Section 232, tariff management, AD/CVD, PGA, U.S. import regulatory matters) • Manage compliance controls under the U.S. Importer Self-Assessment Program and monitor regulatory changes • Support operations and cross-functional teams on classification, valuation, country of origin, special trade program qualification, and pre-audit initiatives • Lead cross-functional projects to integrate systems and processes with service providers, oversee performance metrics, and implement corrective actions • Review broker performance and processes, identify deficiencies, and propose solutions to mitigate trade compliance risk • Leverage relationships with Customs, government agencies, internal functions, and trade industry groups to stay ahead of regulatory changes Requirements: • Must be eighteen years of age or older • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent) • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) required • Minimum 3 years of work experience (Minimum Years of Work Experience: 3) • Preferred 5+ years of operational experience in U.S. Customs compliance with demonstrated expertise in Section 232, tariff management, and import compliance • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Access, SQL, Tableau, and data analysis tools • Knowledge of ACE reporting and consulting, and other trade compliance platforms • Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies (preferred) Benefits: • Remote/Virtual work arrangement (fully remote) • The Home Depot offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits • May include a performance-based bonus program • May include a profit sharing program depending on position
