Position Overview We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth in Northern California. Based in the Sacramento area, you will manage and grow an established book of business while aggressively pursuing new accounts to expand the companys presence in the region. This role focuses on selling through distribution partners, primarily to lumber yards and hardware stores, while also supporting product training and education for end users. It is a remote, field-based, individual contributor position requiring proven success in pioneering new territories, building distributor relationships, and consistently exceeding sales targets. Key Responsibilities • Manage and grow an existing book of business across Northern California while pursuing new accounts. • Build and strengthen relationships with distributors and their customers. • Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing events at customer sites. • Travel extensively with distribution partners to expand regional presence. • Apply consultative, value-added selling approaches to differentiate products. • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and report on performance. • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager and peers to align regional strategy with national sales goals. Qualifications • Bachelors degree required. • 5+ years of sales experience in distribution-driven industries, preferably building materials. • Experience with lumber yards strongly preferred. • 3+ years of proven cold calling and new territory development success. • Track record of exceeding sales goals and driving market penetration. • Strong presentation, training, and customer relationship skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/sales tracking tools a plus. • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven with a strong hunter mindset.
