Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs. Role Purpose The Packaging Manager plays a critical role in developing, optimizing, and commercializing packaging solutions across Hain Celestial’s global portfolio. This role delivers packaging innovation from concept to launch, drives sustainability initiatives, and partners cross-functionally to ensure packaging supports quality, cost, manufacturing, and customer requirements. The role also helps develop standard ways of working within the packaging team and contributes to the long-term innovation and productivity pipeline. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Lead packaging initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. * Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously and prioritize activities that drive the strongest ROI. * Support new product launches, packaging updates to existing products, and sustainability objectives. * Ensure timely execution of all packaging activities across relevant projects. * Build and maintain detailed development timelines for packaging-related workstreams. * Identify, recommend, and execute cost-saving initiatives across components, processes, and manufacturing efficiency. * Support supplier transitions involving new packaging materials or formats. * Manage packaging data inputs and documentation for finished goods. * Support manufacturing trials and first production runs, providing on-site technical expertise when required. * Create trial protocols, success criteria, and documentation standards for all test activities. * Properly plan, coordinate, and report on all trials, ensuring issues are identified promptly and corrective actions are implemented. * Contribute thought leadership to packaging sustainability strategy, including sustainability metrics, reporting, and database management. * Partner collaboratively across teams, share resources, and build strong relationships that support successful execution. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related field * Minimum of 7 years of experience in a packaging role * Experience with commercialization processes and stage-gate systems * Experience designing packaging solutions that incorporate sustainability, manufacturability, shelf presence, and product protection * General understanding of package testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA/ASTM) * Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities * Ability to travel up to 33% Preferred: * FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) industry experience * Experience driving packaging sustainability strategy and reporting * Experience supporting global teams and complex cross-functional environments Competencies and Proficiency Requirements * Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners * Rigorous problem-solving mindset with a business-oriented approach * High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and ability to work independently * Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development * Strong accountability, follow-through, and ability to deliver work the right way, not just the easy way * Openness to diverse perspectives; supports inclusive behaviors and learning from others * Commitment to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility Scope Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: May contribute to cost-saving initiatives and packaging-related budget recommendations. Conditions of Role: * Travel Requirements: Up to 33% * Physical Conditions: Primarily remote based, with occasional office presence.
