Summary Description: This position schedules daily production for a manufacturing department to support customer demand for our growing business. This includes analysis of finished goods, inventory levels, customer orders, production capacity, and material availability. The Production Planner integrates these indicators to create a rolling production schedule at the SKU level. The Production Planner communicates effectively up and down the management ladder to develop an integrated plan that the Supply Chain and Operations Teams can support. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders and machine and labor capacity. • Utilize Oracle modules (Supply Chain Planning and Production Scheduling) to manage work orders, track progress, and adjust schedules in real-time. • Analyze MRP outputs within Oracle to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production timelines • Identify bottlenecks and labor constraints; collaborate with the cross functional teams to resolve resource conflicts. • Maintain planning parameters within Oracle for items planned, Product Management Module • Maintain, update and understand Bill of Materials (BOM) within Oracle. • Maintain inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolescence. • Coordinate with Procurement, Sales, and Logistics to align production outputs with customer needs and shipping schedules. • Work cross functionally to Support new product development, new customer launches and special programming and events with customers. • Participate in Six Sigma initiatives Qualifications What you bring to the table: • BA or equivalent business experience • 2-4+ years’ experience in manufacturing and production environment in production planning or scheduling preferred • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience a plus) • Strong analytical ability • Must work well at the senior and middle management levels of the company. • Must possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. • Understand how to facilitate the gathering of information to support the S&OP process. • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative. • Strong Microsoft Excel user • APICS certification a plus Company Values: Must adhere to The Gorilla Glue Company’s Core Values that ensure everyone works together to exceed expectations. • Have fun, be passionate and show it! • Act with integrity and respect in all relationships. • Communicate openly and appreciate the effort of others. • Embrace knowledge, growth, and change. • Strive for excellence in what we do every day!
