Position Overview The Manager, Case Management provides direct supervision, coaching, and support to a team of Case Managers and Coordinator/Programs serving guests at The Gathering Inn. This role ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, and client-centered services that align with the organization’s mission: to meet people where they are, inspire hope, and walk alongside them on their journey to sustainable housing. The Manager, Case Management oversees day-to-day management operations, ensures compliance with program requirements, and collaborates across departments to maintain accountability, consistency, and excellence in service delivery. Key Responsibilities Supervision & Team Leadership • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for Case Managers and Coordinator/Programs and Coordinator/Programs. • Foster a supportive team culture that emphasizes professionalism, collaboration, and accountability. • Conduct regular one-on-one supervision meetings and team check-ins. Case Management Oversight • Monitor caseload assignments to ensure equitable distribution and manageable workloads. • Review case notes, service plans, and documentation for accuracy and compliance. • Support Case Managers and Coordinator/Programs with complex cases, crisis intervention, and guest advocacy. Program Operations & Compliance • Ensure practices follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Track key performance metrics (e.g., TAR completion, care plans, ROI, case management meetings). • Support program audits, reporting, and data collection using HMIS, Paylocity and other systems. Training & Development • Identify training needs and provide coaching to strengthen staff skills. • Partner with Human Resources, Training, Evaluation and Program Audit to onboard new Case Managers and Coordinator/Programs and support ongoing professional development. • Partner with Director/Continuous Quality Improvement to onboard new Case Managers and Coordinator/Programs in applicable platforms. • Model trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent practices. Collaboration & Communication • Work closely with Directors/Programs and other divisions to ensure coordinated care. • Serve as a point of escalation for guest concerns. • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3 years of experience in case management or direct service in homeless services, mental health, or related setting. • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of housing first, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing approaches. • Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management databases, and HRIS systems Work Environment • Based at designated TGI program site with regular travel across program locations as needed. • Flexible schedule, with occasional evening or weekend hours. • Fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with guests experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and/or substance use.
