This hands-on role is vital to maintaining high product standards and ensuring efficient logistics. Key Responsibilities: Early Morning Dispatch • Dispatch: Co-lead the morning dispatch operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient start to the day. This includes overseeing every detail of the process from the preparation of orders, coordinating with the production team, to addressing any last-minute adjustments. • Organized and On-Time Courier Departures: Maintain a highly organized system for courier departures. This involves verifying that all outgoing deliveries are accurately loaded and couriers depart precisely on schedule to meet delivery deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction. Inventory and Receiving Management • Accurately Receive and Inspect Incoming Produce: Follow receiving procedures for all incoming produce, ensuring thorough inspection for quality, freshness, and adherence to specifications. Meticulously document quantities and communicate any discrepancies. • Maintain Inventory Using FIFO Procedures: Proactively manage inventory levels by strictly adhering to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles. This ensures product freshness, minimizes waste, and optimizes storage space. Regularly conduct inventory counts and reconcile records to maintain accuracy. Operational Excellence and Compliance • Ensure Compliance with Food Safety, Warehouse Safety, and Sanitation Protocols: Champion a culture of unwavering commitment to food safety, warehouse safety, and sanitation. This involves strict adherence to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations and company protocols. • Production Prep and Daily Warehouse Operations: Production prep and daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and general facility maintenance, for efficient workflow and optimal productivity.
