The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking a Financial Analyst II for a prominent client of ours, located in North Chicago, IL 60045. Details of the position are as follows: Shift Information: • Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Hybrid position- 3 Days onsite, 2 Days remote! • Pay range starts at $40+/hr! • 3-Month contract to start! This is a W2 Contract (No 1099/C2C), with a possibility of extension or conversion beyond the original duration based on performance & budget at that time. • Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance. Job Description: • Position is primarily responsible for supporting month-end close processes including journal entries, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliations across multiple manufacturing sites. • Position will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, cost allocations, and forecasting activities in support of operations and budgeting cycles. • Position will be in charge of analyzing manufacturing variances (absorption, operating variances, standard cost), maintaining internal controls, and identifying cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required! • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required! • Strong knowledge of cost and manufacturing accounting (absorption, variances, inventory) is required! • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines is required! • Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on SAP experience is required! Experience using BPC or similar forecasting systems is preferred! • Familiarity with standard cost variance analysis and corporate financial policies is preferred!
