Join a globally respected security and risk management firm and leverage your network to earn referral-based commissions as an independent contractor. This is a non-salaried role that pays 10% of net profit per case you help originate, with the potential for higher commissions on high-value engagements. (fully remote role, but must be based within 25 miles of Washington, DC and/or New York Metropolitan regions in order to fulfill job duties) The Strategic Partnerships Consultant operates as a referral consultant and is an independent contractor role designed for professionals with strong networks and business acumen. You’ll identify and refer qualified leads across sectors such as corporate, legal, government, and high-net-worth individuals for Fairfax Group’s investigative, risk advisory, and security consulting services. Key Responsibilities • Source and refer qualified client leads to Fairfax Group for services such as risk advisory, crisis management, investigations, and due diligence. • Introduce potential clients through warm outreach or personal/professional relationships. • Facilitate initial introductions and client briefings; support relationship handoff to Fairfax team. • Track referrals through to conversion; ensure proper documentation of all introductions. • Maintain discretion and uphold Fairfax Group’s standards of integrity and confidentiality. • Optionally participate in strategic outreach initiatives, professional events, or industry networks. Preferred Qualifications • Past experience working in intelligence, security, investigative, and/or risk management-related fields. • Technical work experience in these fields is a bonus; however, some business development experience within the same fields is ultimately preferred. • Existing network in law, business, security, government, or private equity. • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills. • Strong reputation for trust, discretion, and ethical conduct. • Ability to assess when risk and intelligence services are a fit for a client. • No contractual conflicts that prevent outside independent contractor work.
