Manager Capital Projects, Manufacturing Houston, TX Our client, a global manufacturer of nutraceuticals, is seeking a Manager Capital Projects for their human health ingredients manufacturing facility based in Houston, TX. This project manager will track, execute and summarize all aspects of capital expenditure projects including deadlines, responsibilities and progress. Primary responsibilities: • Proactively use resources to quickly and thoroughly learn about new products. • Coordinate internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects. • Analyze variances against plan to assess trends as well as areas not on track. • Employ strong leadership skills to organize and lead staff and suppliers. • Responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. • Conduct cost analyses, estimating and tracking project costs. • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and best practices. • Review, approve and provide necessary documentation for invoicing in a timely manner. • Ability to prioritize tasks using excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Advise any needed updates on project management software. Requirements: • 6+ years project management experience with capital expenditures. • Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering degree is a plus. • 3+ years in food, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing. • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate. • Proficient with project management software. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time within the US and overseas.
