Analyze donor and stakeholder base, recommend engagement strategies, and provide a framework for year-end giving campaign.
Experience with donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and ability to develop messaging and timelines for nonprofit fundraising.
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Our primary stakeholders are individual donors, DAF holders, foundations, and corporate sponsors. We need someone to analyze our donor and stakeholder base (including DAF prospects), recommend 2–3 key engagement strategies, and provide a framework for our year-end giving campaign (messaging, channels, and timeline). Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by expanding our ability to provide trauma-informed education pathways for at-risk youth and families while also advancing our mental health and wellness initiatives, including our Rise + Release Wellness Retreats. Stronger donor engagement and successful year-end fundraising will allow us to: Serve more students through diploma pathways, Issue additional high school diplomas that open doors to higher education and employment, Connect graduates with living-wage opportunities, and Provide healing-centered, wellness programming that addresses the trauma, stress, and burnout many of our community members face. The volunteer’s contributions will directly fuel educational access, mental health resilience, and life-changing opportunities for marginalized communities. My team and I have prepared for this project by identifying year-end funding priorities, updating our donor database, and adding a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) giving option to our website. We have sample proposals, donor materials, and storytelling assets ready to go. I will serve as the point of contact to provide quick feedback and ensure that deliverables are implemented immediately.
