Company The connection for women and families Role Description This is a part-time, on-site position located in Summit, NJ. The Bus Aide and Custodian will be responsible for assisting children during transportation, ensuring their safety, and helping with boarding and exiting the bus. Additional duties include routine cleaning and maintenance of the bus and facility to ensure a safe and clean environment. The role may also require supporting children with special needs and collaborating with staff to address any specific requirements. Qualifications • Strong Communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with children, parents, and staff • Experience in Training or assisting with tasks related to the role • Familiarity with Special Education concepts and working with children with special needs • Understanding of and ability to implement safe and appropriate Restraints when necessary for safety • A positive attitude, patience, and a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and tasks • High school diploma or GED preferred
