Role Overview: As a Senior Java Developer at The Computer Merchant, LTD., you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet client needs and drive business success. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and implement robust Java-based web applications. - You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliverables. - You will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. - You will troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to ensure reliability and scalability. - You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. - You will mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. - You will stay updated with the latest Java technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes. - You will assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in cloud and on-premise environments. What You Bring: - Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development, with a strong focus on web applications. - Proficiency in Java 8/9 and related frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. - Experience with RESTful API design and integration. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development lifecycle. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular or React. - Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
