Role Overview: As an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer, you will play a crucial role in managing electronic component libraries and designing printed circuit boards that meet stringent defense standards. Your expertise will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the design process. What You'll Do: - You will maintain and update the ECAD component libraries to ensure accuracy and availability for design teams. - You will design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) following industry best practices and client specifications. - You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate schematic designs into PCB layouts. - You will perform design rule checks and validate PCB designs for manufacturability and reliability. - You will document design changes and maintain version control for all ECAD data. - You will support the prototyping and testing phases by providing detailed design information. - You will troubleshoot and resolve design issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. - You will stay current with industry trends and tools to continuously improve design processes. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in ECAD library management and PCB design. - Proficiency with ECAD software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics. - Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability. - Experience working in a defense or aerospace environment is highly preferred. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with high-speed digital and RF PCB design. - Knowledge of IPC standards and compliance requirements. - Familiarity with 3D PCB modeling and mechanical integration. - Certification in PCB design or related fields.
